Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Reds have placed outfielder Chris Heisey on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained left oblique muscle. Heisey suffered the injury during batting practice earlier this week in Houston and hasn't had an at-bat since August 2 against the Astros. Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Cincinnati Reds third baseman Scott Rolen underwent arthroscopic surgery Wednesday on his injured left shoulder. Team medical director Dr. Tim Kremchek performed the operation that removed bone-spur fragments from Rolen's shoulder. He is expected to be out for an additional 4-6 weeks. Rolen's left shoulder put him on the DL from April 24-May 12. He went on the disabled list for the second time on July 22 for what originally was listed as a strained left shoulder.
